Summerhill Science Success

Summerhill College teams scooped First and Second positions in the regional finals of the Irish Science Teachers’ Association senior quiz.

The Leaving Cert team, which comprised of Cian Tuohy, Shane Mc Veigh and James Donnellan took first place with a really impressive display.

In second position came another Summerhill team featuring Fourth Year students Eoin Lawless, Rian Kilfeather and Thomas Endersby.
An indication of the standard of the college teams was that the third placed team, which was composed of Leaving Certificate students, was a full six points behind Summerhill’s second team.

Congratulations to the boys involved and to their coach, Mr. John Mc Getrick. The teams will compete in the All-Ireland finals in Trinity College Dublin.
