New School Band
For some years now Summerhill has had a school band. The musicians involved play at various ceremonies during the school year. Under the direction of Mr. Paul Keogh, the band has added greatly to many landmark occasions such as the Mass for the start of the academic year and the Graduation mass in May.

The transient nature of the school population means that the band has to be regularly reformed.

The most recent formation made its debut at this year First Year mass and wowed the congregation with its impressive musical contribution. The band also plays during the Sunday evening mass in Sligo cathedral
