Warm welcome for new Deputy Principal

The Board of Management of The College of the Immaculate Conception, Summerhill College, Sligo are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Margaret Dowd to the post of Deputy Principal.

From Drumkeeran, Co Leitrim, Margaret graduated from UCD with a First Class Honours degree in Commerce and a First Class Honours Higher Diploma in Education and joined the staff of Summerhill College where she has had a distinguished career teaching Business and Mathematics. Since then Margaret has added a M.A. in Education Management to her achievements.

She joins the Senior Management Team at a time of great change in Summerhill and no doubt her leadership and management skills will be invaluable in the years to come The College Community wish her well in her new role

Over the years many Summerhill pupils have benefited from her vast knowledge and teaching expertise. Her pleasant and caring manner ensured she is well respected and liked by both students and fellow teaching staff .
