Charity Work in Africa.

Irish teacher, Ms Elaine Mc Goldrick experienced a summer break, with a difference this year as she flew off to Ghana in West Africa to help out in an orphanage there.

Elaine was accompanied by her friend and former Summerhill teaching colleague, Emma Coyne and Karen Kelly from Kellystown, Ransboro.

All three paid the cost of their travel to the capital Accra, from where they embarked on a gruelling twelve hour bus journey to their orphanage base in Tamale.

Elaine spent 6 weeks in Ghana caring for Children in the orphanage.
